Let me introduce myself

With a significant career spanning over a decade in Australia’s culinary landscape, I am a qualified chef certified by City and Guilds. My journey in the food industry has taken me through some of the country’s most esteemed establishments, where my passion for quality produce and impeccable service flourished. This experience ignited my fascination with menu development, recipe intricacies, and the art of culinary design. 

Driven by a deepening curiosity about nutrition, my love for training and its impact on human performance, I pursued a degree in Exercise, Nutrition, and Food Sciences. This academic pursuit broadened my understanding of the intricate relationship between food, movement, and optimal health. Additionally, I augmented my expertise with additional learnings in  biomechanics from N1 Education, further honing my understanding of human kinetics and performance optimization. 

For the past six years, I have been dedicated to the fitness and health industry, where I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations spanning all age groups and varying needs. From adolescents to the elderly, and from lifestyle enhancement to sports nutrition, performance and disability, my focus has been on empowering individuals to achieve their health and wellness goals. My areas of specialization encompass weight management, sports nutrition, disability support, strength and conditioning, and promoting longevity through tailored lifestyle interventions. 

Combining my culinary background with my expertise in exercise science and nutrition, I am committed to helping individuals optimize their health and performance through personalized approaches that prioritize both nourishment and movement. Whether it’s crafting nutritious meals, designing customized exercise programs, or providing evidence-based nutritional guidance, my mission is to inspire and support others on their journey to vibrant health and well-being. 

Beyond professional endeavors, I am a living testament to the transformative power of lifestyle choices. Over the past two decades, I’ve embarked on a personal journey that has seen me overcome significant challenges, including a remarkable weight loss transformation. This journey has taken me from personal triumphs to professional achievements, including notable appearances in professional photo shoots and the fulfillment of performance goals. 

Driven by a deep-seated commitment to holistic well-being, I am dedicated to empowering others to unlock their full potential through personalized nutrition, movement strategies, and lifestyle interventions. Whether in the kitchen crafting nutritious meals or in the gym inspiring others to surpass their limits, my mission is to ignite lasting change and foster a culture of vitality and resilience. 

 

About ‘Hauora’ and our philosophy.

Here at Hauora Nutrition and Fitness, encompassing nutrition, strength, fitness and health into the big picture is our main objective. Hauora is a concept of health. It is the philosophy of incorporating the four dimensions of health placed within a supportive environment to create total wellbeing.

For a little explanation, we have our physical, our mental and emotional, our social and spiritual wellbeing. We could visualize this concept as the four walls of our home, our temple or our body. These four walls allow for our strength, stability and our symmetry to create balance. When placed within an environment that is supportive and challenging, the last element we feel is vital to create optimal health, allowing ourselves to develop and grow.  

When we understand and nurture all dimensions of Hauora we create a further understanding of ourselves. We realise potential, achieve aspirations, reducing stress, create happiness and allow ourselves to grow and evolve.
