With a significant career spanning over a decade in Australia’s culinary landscape, Jess originally started in the food industry by qualifying herself with City and Guilds Culinary Arts. Her journey in the food industry has taken her through some of the country’s most esteemed establishments, where a passion for quality produce and impeccable service flourished. This experience ignited a fascination with menu development, recipe intricacies, and the art of culinary design.
Driven by a deepening curiosity about nutrition, her love for training and its impact on human performance, she pursued a degree in Exercise, Nutrition, and Food Sciences. This academic pursuit broadened her understanding of the complex relationship between food, movement, and optimal health. Additionally, she augmented her expertise with additional learnings in biomechanics from N1 Education, further expanding an understanding of human kinetics and performance optimization.
For the past six years, Jess has been dedicated to the health and fitness industry, where she has the privilege of working with a diverse population spanning all age groups with varying needs. From adolescents to the elderly, and lifestyle enhancement to sports nutrition, performance and disability, her focus has been on empowering individuals to achieve their health and wellness goals. Her areas of specialization encompass body re-composition and weight management, sports nutrition, disability support, strength and conditioning, and promoting longevity through tailored lifestyle interventions.
Combining her culinary background with an expertise in exercise science and nutrition, Jess is committed to helping individuals optimize their health and performance through personalized approaches that prioritize both nourishment and movement. Whether it’s crafting nutritious meals, designing customized exercise programs, or providing evidence-based nutritional guidance, Jess’ main goal is to inspire, educate and support others on their journey to vibrant health and well-being with an outcome of quality years lived!

Here at Hauora Nutrition and Fitness, encompassing nutrition, strength, fitness and health into the big picture is our main objective. Hauora is a concept of health. It is the philosophy of incorporating the four dimensions of health placed within a supportive environment to create total wellbeing.
For a little explanation, we have our physical, our mental and emotional, our social and spiritual wellbeing. We could visualize this concept as the four walls of our home, our temple or our body.
